How to build a skin care regimen part 1

I’m a firm believer that some are born with it, some have to work for it and there are a few unfortunate few that will never get it. This is my philosophy for many things in life.
When I was in medical school, I had a few friends that could sleep in their makeup and would never break out. They always marveled why I would wash my face every night: they just couldn’t see the need for it. Unfortunately, I fall into the category of those who have to work for it.

I think it’s good to maintain a skin care regimen whether or not you have problematic skin. If you have skin concerns, having a good skin care regimen can help to prevent and/or reduce your skin problems. On the other hand, if you have no skin problems, it’s still a good idea to have a regimen to maintain your good skin.
A basic skin regimen consists of 4 steps:
use sunscreen (if your moisturizer has sunscreen, your regimen will only be 3 steps).
Your choice of cleanser, toner and moisturizer depends on your skin type and skin concerns.
