I lost my hairline!

A few months ago, I noticed that my hairline had receded. I couldn’t figure out for the life of me what caused this. I don’t do tight buns. I don’t fix braids. Could it be post-partum hair loss?
Anyways, I started applying Tropic Isle Living Strong Roots Red Pimento Hair Growth Oil to my scalp.
Its ingredients are: Jamaican Red Pimento Oil, Jamaican Black Castor Oil, Wheat germ, Organic Coconut oil, Glycerine, Lavender and lemon oils.
I apply it to my scalp before I wash or co-wash my hair. [I wash OR co-wash my hair 1-3 times a week depending on how busy I am]. I usually massage it in lightly, concentrating on my hairline. Sometimes, I wash my hair after 20 minutes. Other times, I leave it overnight and wash my hair in the morning. I sometimes wear a heating cap too. This oil has a very STRONG smell and it tingles too. I read some reviews on Amazon where some people complain that they reacted to it. I think that if you have sensitive skin or are acne-prone, you should test it on a small area of your scalp first.
During the week, I apply a moisturizer to my edges and follow up by massaging in a few drops of Jamaican Black Castor Oil.
Other things I’ve been doing to grow back my hairline are:
- Mostly do loose buns.
- Not to braid or plait the hair around my edges.
I have seen some progress, moreso on the left side: the right side is growing back but a little bit more slowly. Will update you again in 3 months.
Do you have hair line issues? Or did you have this issue but you’ve solved it now? How did you deal with it?
