Hi everyone. Just wanted to share what I’ve been up to. I must warn you that I’ll be all over the place and there are quite a few pictures. I was in the U.S for 18 days and only returned two days ago. I did a lot of testing of deep conditioners. I was trying to replace my Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner with something with more slip and guess what? I stumbled on a conditioner called Silk Elements Kera Minerals Deep Conditioner: it is the business! (expect a full review and a regimen update soon!) I also brought back some bottles of S-Curl Activator, Kerapro, etc.
When I got back, I had to dash off to Ibadan. This is the largest city in Nigeria and the third biggest in Africa (after Cairo and Johannesburg). I’m here to attend a Revision Course for my West African College of Physicians Primary Exams (this is the equivalent of USMLE step 1 and will qualify me to start my residency). It’s been quite interesting: I entered a taxi today which allows 2 people to sit in the front seat of the taxi. I haven’t seen this happen in Lagos for a while.
I’m also thinking of buying some grocery because I think they’re a bit cheaper here.
So, yesterday, I co-washed my hair with Salon Selectives Daily Treatment Conditioner S (Smooth & Straight) [I also bought this from Walgreens in my recent trip to the U.S]. This conditioner has SLIP!
I didn’t put any leave-ins in my hair afterwards because my hair was so soft. I let my hair air dry about 50%, sectioned it into four and detangled with the 3-comb method. I also sprayed Proclaim Tea Tree Leave-in Conditioner on the ends only (also bought it on my recent trip) before setting my hair on satin rollers. I used about 22 rollers of the 1 I/2 inch size in all.
I went to bed and this morning, I rubbed some serum in my hair and finger combed my hair: my hair felt so light and airy because I didn’t use any leave-ins! However, I noticed that the rollers had left some indentation in my hair. In addition, the line where I had sectioned my hair into 4 was showing. The pictures are not very sharp (I used my phone cos’ I didn’t travel with my camera).

Tried my best to comb through the roots with a wide-tooth comb to smooth out the lines and the bumps made by the satin rollers & the sectioning.
Next, I finger combed through. More pics:

This evening, I changed the part to a side part. The curls have dropped and I think they look a bit better than in the morning!
You like? Have a lovely evening peeps!

Thanksss! Thanksss!
Kenra is still a good conditioner but since my hair is not bone straight, I needed something that would make my hair super soft.
