How you can delay aging skin

Ageing is in the genes: it is inevitable but you can slow it down a bit!

  1. Use a sunscreen with a minimum of spf-15 before you leave home.
  2. Alpa-hydroxy acids (AHAs) can help even out your skin colour and delay ageing. In your face creams/lotions, check the ingredient list for Lactic acid, Mandelic acid, Malic acid, Glycolic acid: these are examples of AHAs.
  3. Quit smoking.
  4. Get a regular facial : either at home or by a professional.
  5. Moisturize daily.
  6. Take care of your skin everyday, not intermittently.
  7. Reduce your stress level.
  8. Try retinoid-containing creams e.g RoC Retinol Correxion Sensitive Night Cream, Neutrogena Ageless Intensives® Anti-Wrinkle Deep Wrinkle Serum
  9. Have an active sex life (for the married folks!! Innocent)
  10. Sleep at least 5 – 8 hours at night.
  11. Reduce your sugar intake
  12. Exercise regularly
  13. Have healthy relationships
  14. Make sure you take adequate fruits and vegetables daily.
  15. Eat healthy fat like Olive oil, Omega- 3-fats found in fish, etc.
