Happy New Year!!!

Hello to all my darling readers! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Yesterday, I did a checklist of my 2012 resolutions and discussed some of my 2013 resolutions. In line with that, I have decided to have 4 focused ‘programs’ to achieve my 4 major goals for this year:
- Operation 13 pounds
- Operation Slim that waist line. You can follow my progress in these two programs by doing a Weight loss weekly diary.
- Operation WL (waist length) hair: I will continue my weekly Hair diary and do tri-monthly length checks.
- 2-a-day Bible reading: I also intend to do a weekly Bible study post to track my plan to read at least 2 pages of the bible a day.
Wishing you a prosperous New Year! May you prosper even as your body and soul prospers!!
Please have a fun day!

Hi!
for some reason i was not able to respond in you relaxer-entry but here are my answers:
you asked: Have you ever self-relaxed? What experiences did you have the first time you self-relaxed? Did you keep doing it till you got better? Or have you given up?
answer: I ve always self relaxed, For many many years. It gets harder the longer your hair gets and I have found it best not to stretch longer than 8 – 9 weeks, but I guess it depends on how much your hair grows. It is basically just too much hair to handle. The best thing is to start with the front. It is so much easier to rinse the front without geting the other part wet than the oposite.
Also, I dont use the replenishing pak BEFORE the relaxing, i use it after. Maybe that was what caouse the irritation on your scap? I dont wash my hair a week before the relaxing, And on the day, i cover all but the new growth with olive oil. I use the ORS professional pack. The one that is already mixed. I wash it three times before i go on with the back part of the hair.
After all is rinsed, I dont have any protein stuff inbetween washes as I want to get the relaxer out of the hair as soon as I am done with the smoothing. After I washed it, I leave ORS replenishing pak in over night. Rinse it off the next day and let hair air dry. when dry, i massage in Pure ORganic Argan oil. That argan oil is the only thing I then use in my hair for a week or two. My hair generally feels a bit funny the first week after the relaxer but then after a few washes, it goes back to its normal state.
The only leave in I use is the argan oil. I dont like all that other cemichal stuff.
Enjoy your freshly relaxed hair!
Thank you for drawing my attention to the fact that you couldn’t comment on that post. I actually found out that the comments were closed accidentally. Now I understand why I hadn’t received any comments on that post 🙂
I have also decided to keep my stretches between relaxers for about 8 weeks if I want to keep self-relaxing. I know now that it’s better to do the front first!! LOL
I also plan to bathe my hair with oil my next relaxer day. LOL. Thanks for passing by Lisa and leaving this comment. Hugs. 🙂
Doc, this is my official happy new year to you and my fellow blog followers. May healthy long hair be our portion and setbacks be far from us, amen.
