What’s up with me?
Hello my dearies. It’s been a CRAZY 10 days for me. Since the beginning of the year, I had been looking for a new job..dropping my CV everywhere. Out of the blues, I received a phone call on the 28th of February that there was a job opening in a certain hospital in Ikoyi, Lagos. ‘Doc, can you start tomorrow? You’re going to have do a 24-hour shift though!’ I thought about it for a second but I quickly said yes.
So, I started work on the 1st of March. I must tell you that although I’ve been busy, I’ve been enjoying myself. The only problem is that I haven’t gotten round to do any blog posts. Anyways, it’s all settling down and I think I’ve got a routine in place so back to my first love this week.
I have to go get ready for work now! Yes.. I’m working on a Sunday…it’s a 24-hour day again! But I love it. I love my patients and there are a few I’m a bit anxious to see. Hope they’re doing better or better still, discharged.. I called the doctor who was on call yesterday to ask how they were doing but he didn’t pick up his phone.
Do take care and have a lovely week.
