30th April, 2013

I washed my hair with diluted Ion Swimmers shampoo. Then I mixed Tresemme naturals moisture conditioner with Lavender castor oil. I applied this mixture only to my scalp and new growth. I used the Tresemme Naturals conditioner for my new growth because a lot of natural haired girls say good things about it. Since my new growth is ‘natural hair’, I just felt it would also make my new growth soft and boy, it did! To the rest of my hair, I applied Silk Dreams Avocado Pudding and left it in for 2 hours (with no heat).

For my leave-ins, I used my diluted mix of Aussie Moist 3-minute miracle deeeep conditioner and then grapeseed oil. I pinned up ends and wore a scarf to lay down the top.

wash day 30 april 2013 edges sizzling mommy

At 12 weeks, I’m gradually losing the battle for smooth edges!!

Evening

Just wore my satin bonnet and went to bed.

1st May, 2013

Basically wore my bonnet for most of the day because it was a holiday and I was just feeling lazy.

Evening

Applied Jamaican black castor oil serum to my strands and then Lavender castor oil to my edges. Wore my satin bonnet, shower cap and another bonnet, in that order.

2nd May, 2013

Morning

Combed through my hair. No breakage. I’m always happy when there is no breakage.

Did a bun and did a simply bantu knot on my ends . Sorry no pictures. Was late for work.

Evening

Spent the night doing a 24 hour call duty in the hospital. It was sort of impromptu so I didn’t have any hair moisturizer on me!

3rd May, 2013

Undid the knot in the morning. I noticed a bit of breakage. Not happy about that!

Evening

I applied my diluted mix of Aussie Moist 3-minute miracle deeeep conditioner. Wore a shower cap.

4th May, 2013

Morning.

Combed through my hair. No breakage. Did a simple low bun

Evening

At work: spending the night in the hospital. This time, I came prepared! Check out the contents of my overnight bag!! I applied Jamaican black castor oil serum to my scalp and massaged it in. Then I moisturized with Easta QP mango butter and sealed with Jamaican black castor oil serum.
