What’s up people? A little hair babble!

I can’t believe it’s been almost 2 weeks since I washed my hair! I’ve been too busy to go through the whole process of pre-poo, shampoo and deep condition so all I’ve done is moisturize and seal every day. Occasionally, I spray a little bit of Aphogee Green Tea Restructurizer on my ends before applying my moisturizer. Then I seal in the moisture.
When my hair was longer, I usually did a co-wash when my hair felt dry in the middle of the week: I usually co-washed at night, then tied my scarf, did one big twist on my hair, clipped it up and went to bed. Now, every time I think of doing a co-wash at night, I think to myself how would I dry my hair? It’s too short and too blunt now to do one twist and I’m usually too tired to do a complete twistout! LOL!

I’ve also been applying my Lavender JBCO-essential oil mix to an area of thinning I recently noticed in my hair. To be honest, I think this happened after one of my relaxer experiences. Read that post HERE. Since then, I’ve been applying my relaxers by myself! I also plan not to apply any relaxer to my scalp until there is visible improvement. I recently got some N-Joy oil for my Sizzelle staff and I to try out so when I receive my bottle, I’ll start using that. Read more about N-Joy’s Long & Healthy Hair Growth Oil HERE. It’s a bit expensive ($24.99) but my curiosity got the best of me and I couldn’t resist trying it! 🙂

I’m about 8 weeks post-relaxer and although my roots look so puffy, they feel so soft. I guess my daily moisturize and seal is just doing the trick for now. The other day, I was watching a video by Sunshyne from Hairliciousinc and she mentioned that she had a lot of new growth. I was like, ‘What?’ Her hair looked so flat! At that moment, I knew I had to do something about my puffy hair. I decided to apply some Aloe Vera gel on my hair after moisturizing and sealing. I tied my scarf, wore my satin bonnet and went to bed. I’m telling you that my hair looked a lot flatter in the morning (not as flat as Sunshyne’s though but way flatter than it’s been in the last few days). This flat hair-scarf experience has resolved my plan to stretch my relaxer till the end of the year and I’ll keep doing it everyday to make my hair lie as flat as possible. I’ll also try to see if this moisturize, seal, infrequent washing, low manipulation regimen will work for me till then. If it doesn’t, then back to mid-week co-washes.

So, that’s what’s been up with me and my hair. What about you?
BTW, if you need some of that N-Joy oil, leave a comment below and I’ll get back to you.
