Hair of the day – 9th March 2015

After my last wash day, I ended up with a loose twist out. This was done one day after my wash day.

For this new style, I sectioned my hair into 3 (at bed time). To style my hair for the next day, I usually prepare the night before.  I moisturized each section and then banded each section. I used small sized elastic bands on the roots and about 1 cm above the ends. I banded my hair to stretch out my hair. Afterwards, I curled the ends with perm rods.

*Side note: There are different ways of stretching your hair and banding is one of them. You can even use it on wash day to air dry your hair a bit smoother. *

In the morning, I took out the bands and perm rods. To take out the bands, I snapped them off carefully to prevent them from snagging my hair. If you try to slide them off, they can break your hair. I applied argan oil to my fingers and finger combed my hair.
Watch my short video for a visual description of how I use the elastic bands and perm rods.
