Happy new month!!

Pic source

Hello everyone. I apologize for my absence from the blog. I had a lot going on in April.

– My online store turned TWO and we had a little party on the 2nd of April.

– Then my younger brother had his traditional marriage ceremony on the 4th of April.

– I had an assignment deadline for the 13th of April. Thanks be to God that I was able to meet it. I am currently doing a Post-graduate diploma in dermatology.

– Then, we had my brother’s church wedding in Abuja on the 18th of April.

You can see some of the pictures from the above events on my instagram page HERE.

Since I got back from the wedding, I have been procrastinating getting back into the groove of blogging but today, I knew I had to.

I hope I was missed? I would really love to hear from you.

P/S: I installed twists in the last week of March (which I just took out 2 days ago after exactly 4 weeks….I have a terrible experience to share on the take-down but if you want to read about it, you can check out my instagram post below). The last time I had my hair braided or twisted was about 4 or 5 years ago. The last time I fixed a weave was about 3 years ago. I really wanted to try them out because I felt that I had a hang of my own hair. Apparently, I have little experience in so-called protective styling. More of the gist to come anyways.

Just read your latest blog post. Sorry you lost so much hair I need to get the detangler. Do you sell it? Also I do braids at least twice in 6 months. Only my front jsir tangles. I am trying to find a way to stop it from tangling such as washing my braids once in two weeks and then I remove the braids on my edges after two weeks. Do you live in Nigeria? I think the heat contributes to the damage. Any thoughts?

Yes I have the detangler in my shop. I think that taking out the braids around the edges is a good idea. I did the same thing too and I moisturized that area every day. Thank you so much Shubuu for your comment. I sincerely appreciate it. God bless.

  2. I’m so sorry this happened to your hair. Mane n Tail is wonderful! I had some matted knots before and I had to cut them out. It was horrible so I know the frustration all too well.

    Hey Doc!

Sorry about the detangling palava. I’ve never used the 2-step Aphogee, but the 2 minute Aphogee is a product staple for me, but I never use it by itself, I always make sure I mix it with a another conditioner and some glycerin for extra slip.

I usually shampoo my braids a week before take-down, I find that it helps remove any build-up at the base that could cause tangling.
