Backstage hair diaries #2. Single strand knot galore! Daily combing!

The Backstage Hair Diaries is an attempt to document my journey to find a hair regimen that suits me. I am looking for a regimen that pleases me with regards to aesthetics, hair thickness, hair length and ease. I don’t mind being experimental with my hair until I find something that works.

After my last wash day, I noticed that I had a number of single strand knots on the rear section of my hair. I trimmed them off. I think it had to be from my days of not moisturizing my hair last week. Backstage hair diaries #1: lazy with the hair.

This week, I have embarked on an experimental regimen which involves spraying a leave-in mist on my hair and detangling it nightly. After detangling, I braid the base and roll the ends to keep them smooth. I tie a satin scarf and go to bed.

The following morning, my hair is usually dry. I just smooth it out with my fingers, brush the top lightly and put it in a bun.

This morning, however, my hair was still damp when I was leaving the house and I think it is because I left earlier than I usually do.

I’m still undecided about this regimen but it has helped me manage my ‘texlaxed’ hair and keeps my hair looking relatively sleek. It is however not as soft as I like. It’s not crunchy but just not as soft as I want. Will continue it for the next month and see…..

Have a lovely evening!

Hello dear please how can I use aphogee 2 mintue reconstrutor in order to help with relaxer damage one my relaxer touch up day I was thinking of following this step I use ORS relaxer . After applying relaxer-rinise the relaxer off-apply aphogee for 5mintues -wash with ORS creamy aleo shampoo-apply ORS replenishing conditioner with heat for 30mins then rinise is it okay? a week after relaxer touch which is best to do protein deep conditioning or moisturizing deep condition.

Hi Ummi. Those steps you outlined are perfect. Since you are using a protein conditioner as a mid-relaxer step, there is no need to use a protein the week after. You can use a light to moderate protein conditioner every other week or wash day.

I forgot to mention that you can leave the ApHogee 2 minute for only 2 minutes so that the relaxer doesn’t stay too long on your hair

Thank you dear for the response .
