Wash day after 24 hours (major protein treatment)

Yesterday, I shared with you how unhappy I was by the end of my last wash day: my hair was frizzy, breaking and sticky.

I just couldn’t take it anymore so I decided to wash my hair. I mixed 4 caps of Dudley’s DRC 28 Hair Treatment &  Fortifier with ORS Hair Mayonnaise and a few drops of peppermint oil. Sat underneath my standing dryer for 20 minutes. Rinsed this off and shampooed with Aveda Dry Remedy Moisturizing Shampoo. My hair felt so incredible by this time and the breakage had drastically reduced. I felt that there was no need to deep condition my hair because it felt so good and I was scared I would spoil my results.

I stepped out of the shower, towel dried my hair and applied Camille Rose Naturals Curlaide Moisture Butter. I put on my heating cap for about 15 minutes in a bid to do a sort of deeper conditioning.

When I took of the cap, I didn’t detangle my hair because it looked pretty tangle-free considering that I had detangled very well the previous day when installing the curlformers and the shampoo was really moisturizing.

I applied Lotta Body Wrap Me Foaming Mousse to the front of my hair and tied a scarf to lay down my edges. Simply airdried and that’s it. My hair actually looked a bit curly at the end of the wash day.

I’m thinking whether I should repeat a similar wash day next time but I don’t want to go overboard with the protein and start another problem.

How was your last wash day? I hope it went well?
