Wash day recap: my last 3 wash days

Since the last post about my October haul, I have shampooed my hair twice and co-washed once. I think I’ll start from the oldest to the most recent.

Contents

WASH DAY 1

Prepoo: Dudley’s Drc 28 Hair Treatment and Fortifier. Sat underneath my dryer for about 20 minutes.

Shampoo: OGX niacin & caffeine shampoo. Did not strip my hair but still not as moisturizing as my Aveda shampoo.

Deep Condition: No.

Leave-ins: Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Double Care leave in spray.  Detangled with my wide tooth comb.

Drying and styling:
Air dried

My observations:

My hair didn’t feel moisturized at all by the next day and I know it’s because of three reasons: I used a strong protein treatment, second I didn’t use a moisturizing deep conditioner afterwards. Lastly, the leave-in wasn’t very moisturizing. I ended up doing a twistout the next day using Beautiful Textures Rapid repair deep conditioner. This conditioner can be used as a deep conditioner and a leave-in conditioner!

WASH DAY 2

Prepoo: TGIN Honey Miracle hair mask on my hair and grapeseed oil on my scalp.

Shampoo: Aveda Dry Remedy Moisturizing Shampoo

Deep Condition: ORS replenishing conditioner. Mixed with JBCO.  Sat underneath my dryer for about 15 minutes.

Leave-ins: Aussie Moist Hair Insurance leave-in conditioner and sealed with jojoba oil.

Drying and styling: Blow dried with cold air.

WASH DAY 3

Deep Condition: Beautiful Textures Rapid repair deep conditioner. Sat underneath my steamer for about 10 minutes because I was in a hurry.

Leave-ins: Aussie Moist Hair Insurance leave-in conditioner and sealed with jojoba oil. Detangled with a wide tooth comb.

Drying and styling: Blow dried with cold air. Did not comb through again.

Observations:

My hair felt soft and reasonably moisturized considering that I didn’t spend a long time deep conditioning. Going forward, I will continue using the Beautiful Textures Rapid repair deep conditioner for co-wash days and for twistouts/braidouts.
