About The Sizzling Mommy
A lot of my friends call me Fomsky (a nick name derived from my real name Ufuoma 🙂 ) and I decided to use the name Dr Fomsky as my pen name for this blog.
I am a Nigerian-born medical doctor with a Post-Graduate diploma in Dermatology from Queen Mary University of London AND a Masters degree in public health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
I love blogging because it gives me an opportunity to express myself in words and I hope that I can help someone achieve a total makeover by following my beauty tips. I promise to move with the times and hope to still be blogging for many years to come.
The Sizzling Mommy blog is mostly a relaxed hair blog about relaxed hair care but I do write about fitness and skin care from time to time. This is in line with my long-term goals to pursue a career closely related to cosmetic dermatology and aesthetic medicine.
I started my first blog, Versatile Woman, in 2008. It was essentially a blog where I talked about my everyday experiences. When I was pregnant for my second child, I went from 70 kg (154 pounds) pre-pregnancy to 90 kg (198 pounds) by the end of the pregnancy in December 2010. I felt that it would be better to have a separate blog to catalog my weight loss journey back to my pre-pregnancy state. Hence my decision to start this blog in January 2011 and call it The Sizzling Mommy blog. In my opinion, being A Sizzling Mommy means that I can look beautiful inside and outside, top to bottom. HAIR. SKIN. SPIRIT. MIND. BODY.

December 2009 (18 months after my first child)
I had started my hair journey in January 2010 but when I found out I was pregnant that year, I sort of put my hair journey on hold. It was only when I started this blog in 2011 that I found a way to document my progress. Over time, I have found that the hair topics have even surpassed the weight loss topics I started with but I will continue to post topics related to weight management once in a while.
I have fine hair strands and my hair is not particularly full. This was my main reason for starting a hair journey in the first place.

My hair in 2005 – not thick
I was able to grow my hair till almost Brastrap length even though my hair journey has not always been smooth: I experienced a setback from a bad relaxer experience and I had to cut my hair back to neck length.
After growing out my relaxed hair for a few more years, I decided to go natural in January 2017.

When you learn principles, you are empowered to make decisions yourself. This is why I enjoy writing about the basics of why I do what I do. I won’t assume you already know it. I also answer questions my readers ask. When I don’t know the answers (no one can 🙂 ), I will try my best to research for YOU. I also regularly include links for you to read more about the topic. I would be honored to start a relationship with you if you decide to follow this blog via Bloglovin’, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or Email. Or you can simply subscribe in a reader. Enjoy reading through my posts and please leave comments: I’ll try to respond to them as soon as possible. In addition, you can also visit my favourite blogs by checking out my blogroll.

Hello doc. I just want to know your opinion on these two brands vanity oils and Estella pride oils before I will buy any of the brands.
I would pick the Vanity oils over the Estella oils just because I have used Vanity oils in the past.
Lpve reading your hair journey so much.
