What’s up with me?

HI. HI. HI.. How are you guys? It’s been a while….Guess what I did 10 days ago? LASER EYE SURGERY!! To. correct. my. vision. As a result, I’ve had a bit of downtime but I’m much better now…my eyesight is gradually improving and I don’t need glasses anymore. Still can’t drive yet but I’m almost there. I’ve always had puffy eyes but my glasses usually hide them. Now, I have to face them squarely and I’ve bought 2 eye creams (I couldn’t make up my mind which would work better). I hope they get better though.
Then…I noticed a fine line on my forehead…I have been so sad about it…I’m just 33. Although I use sunscreen, I haven’t always used any…Anyways, I haven’t been using any anti-aging creams so I had to invest in some.
And finally….I’ve added some weight..again…yes again…I’m always in a battle with my weight. I’ve been very inactive for the last 3 weeks and eating in bed (cos’ of my eyes)…
Anyways, I have some good news. First, I got admission to do a post-graduate diploma in dermatology. Second good news is that my hair is doing well. After my last wash day, I didn’t need to wash my hair for 10 whole days!! I washed my hair a day before my eye surgery. I did moisturize lightly once in a while but my hair stayed nice and supple. Winning!!
More on my last wash day coming soon.
Love and hugs,
Moi

Pls what sunscreen can i use? Im dark with dry skin, i use a bit of shea butter every morning but i am not sure that is working.
I didn’t like to use any sunscreen lotion because they made my face ashy and white. I’m also dark like you. What I do now though is to use a sunscreen primer under my makeup and this works out much better for me. The exact one I’m using now is Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer SPF 15 I have also heard great things about Mary Kay Foundation Primer Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 15. Mary Kay might be easier to find.

One trick I think you can do is to melt the shea butter in your palms and apply it over your face while your face is still damp so it gets better absorbed.
Noted, thanks.
I wish you full recovery as you bear the sweet pain. For me life is more fun without glasses. I considered laser eye surgery, many years ago but at -6.5, I have given up. Regarding your weight, I know you know it’s all about what you eat and when you eat it and also the emotional state too. If you can resolve to eat more raw meals at this time and loads of water, it will keep your weight down and also hasten your healing process. I understand that it’s best to eat breakfast like a queen, lunch like a princess and dinner like a pauper, preferably salad with little or no naughty salad cream. For the fine line, there are some excellent facial exercises that may help too. I’m well over 50 and these exercises have helped. Do get well soon.
Thanks Sisimi. I do know what’s right…I’m just not disciplined enough to follow through. I have started facial exercises too…forgot to add that
