Mid-week wash and go on relaxed hair

I needed to refresh my hair in the middle of the week and I decided to do a quick co-wash with the Herbal Essences Naked cleansing conditioner. I applied it to dry hair, let it sit for about 5 minutes, detangled underneath the shower but it just didn’t have as much slip as I thought it had. I would grade it a 5/10 for slip. My hair just felt heavy and coated: I just couldn’t bear the way it felt. So, I reached for the Aveda Dry Remedy Moisturizing Shampoo and did a quick lather and detangled with it still in my hair. It was like I did a factory reset on my hair: it was feeling great!
I stepped out of the shower and I used a soft cloth to squeeze out the extra water from my hair. Next, I sprayed the Shu Uemura Art of Hair Wonder Worker Air Dry/Blow Dry Perfector in sections. I rubbed some Lotta Body Wrap Me Foaming Mousse on the top of my hair and edges, tied a on the top of my hair and then let it air dry.
A few observations:
My coils were less defined than my previous wash day: I’m thinking that the Camille Rose Naturals Curlaide Moisture Butter I used last time made my hair clump together more than this Shu Uemura leave-in.
Secondly, I noticed that my roots are straighter than my ends. After a few relaxer touch-ups, I’m not quite sure I’ll be left with any more coils.

On Saturday, I am planning to do a proper pre-shampoo deep conditioning treatment. I hope to keep you posted.

Its very beautiful, I didn’t know relaxed hair can do that.
Thanks. I think this happens when your hair is properly texlaxed.
Such a cute look. Love the colour of your lipstick too… Sadly my roots are straighter than my ends but I have decided to go back from Lye to no lye relaxers to allow me to keep more texture so will see how that works out.
Thank you for the compliments on my lipstick. I think the lye relaxer should leave your hair less processed. Do you know which one you are going to use?
