Wash day featuring Pureology hydrate shampoo – December 2nd, 2016

This wash day featured two new products: Pureology Hydrate shampoo (which I bought last month) and Blue Roze Beauty Strawberry Hibiscus Deep Conditioner. I have done a review of this deep conditioner and you can read it HERE.
Contents
PREPOO
Scalp: Grapeseed oil mixed with peppermint oil for about an hour.
Hair: Aunt Jackie’s In Control Deep Conditioner + JBCO + Organics Olive & Clove Oil Therapy.
Sat underneath the standing dryer for about 20 minutes then proceeded to shampoo my hair.
SHAMPOO
After rinsing out my pre-poo treatment from my hair, I shampooed with the Pureology Hydrate shampoo. My hair was not stripped and actually felt quite soft even after washing it twice. My hair did feel slightly coated with oil. I think that’s because the shampoo contains oils.
DEEP CONDITION
I applied the Blue Roze Beauty Strawberry Hibiscus Deep Conditioner to my towel dried hair and left this in for about an hour while I exercised.
LEAVE-INS
After rinsing off the deep conditioner and squeezing out as much water as I could, I lightly sprayed Revlon Equave leave-in conditioner and then sealed with jojoba oil.
DRYING AND STYLING
I braided my hair in 4 places and secured the ends with perm rods. Went to bed and undid the braids in the morning.
Woke up to soft waves. 🙂
I think twistouts make better curls than braidouts. Which do you prefer?
